The sand blew across the empty, stoney floor..a deep waistland, uninhabbited by any life.. a figure moves forward, his black hair laying on a white haori, outlined with a 9 " Are you ready to spar?" The man asks as he reaches for his Zanpakto. As soon as his blade is drawn from the sheate, it turns into a blade of Riatsu; Renkai, a form between Sealed and Shikai, he loweres the blade down with a zissling sound and awaits a reply from the man across of him, His friend and fellow warrior.

The winds kicked up and sand swirled around a figure standing parallel to the first man, his long black hair in a high ponytail blew in the wind as he scratched a poorly shaven chin. The scars the decorated this mans face and chest told stories of battles long past and the grin on his face told the story of his every victory and defeat alike. This man had much experience and enjoyed battle. He drew his blade and tossed the scabbard aside, the blade was old and chipped but a dangerous aura surrounded it as the man pointed his blade at his opponent. "This was always going to happen eventually..." He chuckled as his white haori danced in the wind, the brand "ju-ichi" meaning eleven was on his back. This was the start of their battle, but so much more hardship was in their future.

No sneak attacks.. no fast tricks.. this was a battle of honor..a skirmish of strenght"First that needs to call on a mask to survive is the loser..." A clear line had to be drawn, if they didnt wanna end up mortally wounding one another. after another gust had attempted to revive everything in the area... he made a fast step forward, knowing his opponent will meet him half way.. A duel unfolded, far away to protect civilisation" Lets go!!"

Without a moments hesitation the long haired veteran flew across the field and in and instant their blades met. Their arms strained against each others strength, so much so that the two began pushing their body weights into the stand off. "Sounds dull, where's the fun in limiting our strength? I really wanna go all out! Whats the matter Ryu-chan? Scared?" He chided sticking his tongue out before breaking off of the initial clash and bouncing backward to get a new footing and lunge forward slashing with all his might at his opponent.

the stand off was a mere clash of pure power. shaking the rocks where the two stand, after a playfull remark and a counter lunch, wich was blocked and parried, the Captain named Ryu replied" Scared im gonna get scolled for killing you, Kenichi-kun" after there blades where free, the warrior named Ryu dug in his heel and made a low spin slash, the energy blade responding to the slash with leaving a trail of blue power

The battle was one of amusement and the two were clearly amused. The long haired man called could see the sword coming his way. Kenichi smirked jumping over the slash of blue and kicking Ryu in the chest. He hopped backward, landing and lunging his katana forwards, a spear aimed straight for his opponents chest. "Hey, no big, when I kill you I'll get to fight that wife of yours who keeps smacking my wife on the butt, I owe her a few smacks back..." He shot back with a smug grin.

"id like to see you try.. Not even i get to smack on her butt" he replied as the kick moved him backward, he pulled his blade backward and slided it over the ground toward the rushing Kenichi " Lets see if you survive this first" he countered with an arc of blue riatsu, grinding the ground and aimed toward his sparring partner, this fight had only just begon
